Heat your saucepan on medium heat for about two minutes. Add the maple pork sausage and brown for about 7 minutes until done.
Add the chopped kale and cook for about 3 minutes. (The kale will shrink up quite a bit.)
Add in the cornbread stuffing, raisins, and chicken broth. Make sure to stir thoroughly. Continue heating, and stir frequently until the stuffing is moist.
Add salt and pepper to taste and garnish with pecans, if desired.
Recipe Notes
If you can’t find maple sausage, you can use regular sausage, and then add about ¼ cup of maple syrup to the stuffing mixture after the stuffing has absorbed.
I recommend buying the pre-washed and pre-cut kale that comes in a bag. It’s a little more expensive but worth every penny. I find washing and cutting kale to be very annoying, so I avoid it like the plague.
